Welcome to the Realm of Vacation Rentals

Own it? Nah, just rent it for a few days of stay, still feels like yours anyway.

Just Rent it, Spend Vacation Your Way

Travelling for a week's worth of stay for your vacation getaway?

You might think a hotel is your only recourse when looking for a place to stay but there's another option that might just pique your interest and that one is a vacation rental.

Live like a local, or live like a celebrity. It's entirely up to you.

What's a Vacation Rental Anyway?

Let's get simple with this one. Vacation rentals as the name suggests, are properties that could range from apartments, condominiums that are well maintained, motor homes even, or just a quaint little home that has a nice view of a lake.

The term Vacation Rental is mainly used in the US, others call it Villa rentals or even Villa holidays.

Yep, all these for your personal comfort

It has furnishings and plentiful amenities as a hotel would, the only difference is that it varies, and in vacation rentals you can use all the available amenities with no extra charges, use it like it was your own and the best part is, almost always there's privacy guaranteed for you and your family.

Just How Popular Vacation Rentals Are?

Vacation rentals are already popular as a travel option in Europe especially in the United Kingdom and still is increasingly becoming popular for other countries as well.

With a whole lot of booking sites available online, looking for a rental have never been this easier, and these sites help in making those rentals popular. You just have to find the right one

Where  Do I look?

Looking for rentals to book has become pretty much easier thanks to the good ol' internet.

Booking sites like eGetinnz, Airbnb, Flipkey, Homeaway, and VRBO are good places to start looking for a vacation rental to stay in.

Tried and tested, these sites should get you up to speed. There are still others but you'll probably find better ones here

Trust me, these sites are what you'll be seeing a lot
when looking for holiday rentals

How to Book and When?

Like what I've shown earlier, you can access those booking sites so you could already look for a vacation rental you'd like. Find ones from China and even to California

Every home varies in scenery, style, and of course price.

Prices go up when there are holidays or events that would happen in the place you'll be renting at so better to wait for it to finish, so be mindful about the date of your booking.

Planning, planning, and more planning.

Bottomline is: you should plan accordingly and always in advance even if it's a year ahead so you could avoid complications in booking

Things to Keep in Mind

  • When you've already booked for a rent, you can't cancel it at the last minute since this is like a contract between you and the owner, so if you plan to cancel, make sure you do weeks ahead before you travel.
  • To make the most of a vacation rental, try to stay for a week. Staying for just a few days? You're better off looking for a hotel then.
  • Amenities that are available will vary, and it depends on the place you'll stay in.
Some will offer room service and concierge, others would require you to bring in your own stuff.

Enjoy your Stay!

These tips should get you up to speed, but if you got a friend who's already done it before, it's a good idea to ask first or seek help, and also it's wise to build a relationship of trust with the owner of the rental so future stays would be much much easier

So, if you're staying in one, enjoy it to the fullest and I wish you a safe and fun stay.
